It is very frustrating to have Yorda wander off at random. I've actually had her ignore me completely before. You'd think the girl didn't want to be saved.
I think this pic turned out a bit of all right. Wish I had it in me to get that sort of misty overlit quality the game has, but I figured I'd go with my standard ... something I KNOW I can do ... rather than balls up the whole thing.

I just kinda held her hand at all times and never let go. Sometimes she would be great and point to puzzle answers. And the there are the times when we are being attacked and she forgets she has legs and stands there as helpful as a lamp post. Despite that though we gotta love her. She and Ico are the cutest thing on a bench
